    There was a time when the sound barrier was declared as absolute as the light barrier. We have yet send a single object to anywhere near the speed of light! We have yet to declare any speed attained in relation to light speed. Until we do, one cannot claim Einstein's calculations are absolute

    Star Wars for Grown ups is incredibly boring as hell. When Star Wars was for kids it was fun we had swashbuckling adventures, escapism, and the messages were easy to digest without feeling like you're being preached too. Now we stand around and talk about our feelings. We have to deconstruct the Rebels to show how gritty and villainous they can be. Who knew the Rebellion origins would be so boring. If this show didn't have Star Wars in the title, we wouldn't watch it.😮

    10% light speed would be enough to reach Alpha/Proxima Centaurio within a human lifetime, and after we settled on a planet there, the next generation could start to the next nearest star system and reach it in a few decades. Humanity would start spreading from one star system to the next over the centuries and in this way could reach further away star systems by taking inbetween steps. This is how alien civilisations could spread (and reach our solar system) over many star systems as well.

    Thank you! Critical Analysis is much appreciated. Campbell's Monomyth has been in the DNA of Star Wars from the beginning. I've been trying to find some perspective on the show, as my opinion is still out on whether an interesting story is being told here. There are a lot of opinions out there about this series already, but you know what they say about opinions. Most of them aren't that interesting.

    I’m 47 (saw empire & rotj in theatres) and don’t get the hate .. but then I remember fans have been like this for every Star Wars release since Phantom Menace & there’s alot of mega rich people (Elon musk,ect) pandering to angry people and spreading anti-woke onto everyone’s screens w/their money. I really like the analogy of Disney being woke to Dracula being woke. corporations can’t be woke, Bud light can’t be woke.. they don’t look at people as being human, just as #’s. I don’t think Disney has much creative input anyway, it’s LucasFilm on Disney’s budget. It’s kind of like calling George Lucas woke. Most of the people working there worked under him, and understand his vision more than anyone

    13:00 You can have a standard model within another standard model, isolated by a "bubble of uncertainty" that separates the two spaces. It is the base of the Star Trek Warp engine: the ship is static in its space-time, where time runs at the same speed as in the external space-time, but on the bubble border the two space-time flows between they at great speed. If the ship is not careful, it can cause a worm hole on itself, but as long as it can control the speed and have enough energy to maintain the bubble, it can "cross" the external space-time without fear of colliding with a rock or a planet. Bubble calculations by Alcubierre is a first approach to the problem.

    I really don’t understand the bashing of this show, there’s two occasions in which I rolled my eyes (1) squid actor going from « her sister is dead I’m sure of it « to « she’s alive I trust you » 2) the shadow sister going from « I love you » to « I’ll kill you » within 5minutes). Otherwise I felt it was pretty cool, clearly some matrix kung-fu references in there with Carrie Anne moss, which made me smile I have to admit. Of course you re not experiencing adult oriented narratives like Andor but still I was quite surprised by the ship/prison escape, some of those characters were quite daunting and straight out of a cyberpunk universe.

    First two episodes were okay. Ish. It wasn't horrible or amazing, general okay ish new Star Wars. Episode 3.... Worst TV has had on a long time. Acting, plot, motives, pace .. Very lowest effort and quality I've seen in any show. Even though the overall story in episode 3 wasn't bad, it was horribly executed. Singing was rencon importu amateur stuff that kills work the cringe. Stone fortification burning from a book. I'm sure the Jedi did something bad. Or didn't. We don't know because it was awfully cut. Character personalities went all over the place. I had no problem with lesbian witches, they were okay until they started singing/chanting. Creating children with the force wasn't a big deal either (Anakin was born from the force not made by someone). Forgetting everything about Star Wars, seeing this show on its own... 1 and 2 were okay, 6 out of 10, maybe 7. Episode 3 was barely 1.

    • @djnorth2020
      @djnorth2020 14 часов назад

      To me, all the female lead, lesbian witches, none of this was bad. There were cool looking characters and I wanted to see them kick ass. Acting however was very poor, only Boba Fett was worse acting wise. Not evening if about woke or hating women. Sometimes it's just crap quality.

    The stats are in: According to The Wrap and data from Parrot Analytics, female audiences prefer shows like Loki and The Mandalorian over projects specifically targeted at female audiences like Ahsoka. Women's preferences are not always what the studio executives try to target. Take it how you will.

    I would like to submit what the common definition of "starship" is. One that was built in orbit and not intended to enter atmosphere except in rare conditions. Kirk's Enterprise was more than a rocket or shuttle because it was independent of port. Self sufficient for extended duty. Not a warship but capable of defending themselves and planetary societies they encounter. Not a science research vessel but capable in that realm as well as medical and engineering experts. A mobile city.

  • @kamillavalter

    I don’t really care for the Acolyte, but there are some elements that I find interesting. I like the portrayal of the Jedi and that the both sides of the conflict are in the wrong. The music is really cool, it has a SW feel, but at the same time is not heavily influenced by the original soundtrack (like Rogue One, for example). It is always nice when composers try something different. The acting is good (except the kids - well, kid actors are usually not great). I don’t like the exposition dump in the dialogue, but there are some beautiful lines too. It all has the Clone Wars feeling (and I love some of the CW). Actually, when the Acolyte was announced, I imagined some kind of a gritty noir-ish murder investigation and was a bit disappointed when I saw the first trailer. But at least it is better than the recent Dave Filoni stuff, so I’ll continue to watch while waiting for season 2 of Andor.
